Your 7th decade ain't half bad I reckon....

Getting older is OK by me….

Your 7th decade ain't half bad I reckon. For me, I am the sharpest, fittest and best rendition of myself I've ever been. No doctors. No meds. No anxiety about the future because I live in the now.

Plain Text: Your 7th decade ain't half bad I reckon.

For me, I am the sharpest, fittest and best rendition of myself I've ever been. No doctors. No meds. No anxiety about the future because I live in the now.

Now that the kids are older, I can also put more effort into my next big dream... which, for now, I'll keep to myself. I'll let you know when it's achieved.

I started my music journey at a very young age. I was fortunate enough to have piano lessons at primary school and singing lessons in high school. Had I practised then like I do now, I might have become quite good... but anyway, I still have time.

One of the best things about getting older is life skills and hindsight. I regularly pass on pearls of wisdom to my kids... until I realise they've got noise-cancelling headphones on.

During the 'vid years, like so many other small business owners, I needed to pick up some extra work to pay the bills. The one job I can always get is accounts. I suppose, like music, it's something I'll be able to do until I literally can't.

Which brings me to my story...

I was working part-time at this really awesome place, surrounded by loads of young, inspiring people. I was happily working away in the background with the numbers when I overheard someone say...

**"Hey, ask Jan. She'll know."**

My ears pricked up. Finally! Someone wanted all my hard-earned wisdom.

They called me over.

I practically skipped.

"Hey Jan..."

"Do you know if this oat milk is off?"
